OUR MISSION & VALUES

Parole Preparation Services

Our Mission
The mission of Parole Preparation Services is to serve for the sake of pleasing Allah by assisting individuals who have demonstrated genuine reform, moral accountability, and consistent upright conduct throughout their incarceration, and who possess—or are actively rebuilding—strong family and community support systems essential for responsible reentry. Guided by Islamic teachings of submission to Allah, sincere repentance (tawbah), justice, mercy, and personal responsibility, and by the Prophetic principle that true change is proven through actions and character, we are committed to helping individuals truthfully present evidence of their transformation and readiness to live as productive, law-abiding members of society if granted parole. We believe that rehabilitation is not achieved in isolation. Islam emphasizes collective responsibility, family obligation, and community accountability. For this reason, our mission prioritizes working with individuals whose families, faith communities, or mentors are prepared to support, guide, and hold them accountable, recognizing that strong support systems benefit both the individual and the wider community. Our mission is not driven by financial gain or guaranteed outcomes. We serve only those who have consistently shown, through conduct and effort, that they have changed for the betterment of their families and communities, and who approach the parole process with sincerity, humility, and responsibility.
As a condition of our services, we require each individual to prepare a personal letter of accountability addressed to the victim or the victim’s family, either directly or in care of the parole board, regardless of whether parole is granted. This requirement reflects the Islamic understanding that repentance includes acknowledging harm, accepting responsibility, and striving for moral repair—without expectation or condition.
Although our foundation is Islamic, our mission extends to all people of conscience, including Muslims, Christians, Jews, and others who share a commitment to repentance, lawful conduct, accountability, and positive contribution to society.
Our Core Values
Sincere Repentance (Tawbah)
We believe that true repentance is demonstrated through sustained change, humility, and responsibility—not words alone.
Accountability & Integrity
We emphasize honesty, acceptance of past harm, and responsibility to victims, families, and society.
Family & Community Support
We recognize that lasting reform is strengthened through healthy family ties, mentorship, and communal accountability.
Service Over Profit
Our work is guided by intention, not transactions. Financial payment does not determine eligibility or outcomes.
Dignity & Truthfulness
We assist individuals in presenting themselves truthfully, respectfully, and with dignity—without exaggeration or entitlement.
Public Safety & Moral Responsibility
We support reentry that prioritizes lawful living, discipline, and contribution to the well-being of the community.
